JON DANIELS RACING is proud to claim the 2014 ASBK Supersport Championship, with our rider, Daniel Falzon, successfully carrying through what we started in 2013.

Heading into the Phillip Island round with a 9 point lead gained by a clean sweep at Queensland Raceway, and scoring another valuable point in Saturday’s superpole put us in a fairly strong position for Sunday’s racing which was challenging in changing weather conditions.

At the end of the weekend we were 7 points ahead, enough to secure the title win.

It was exciting to hear what MA has planned for next year’s series and the buzz in the pits was encouraging.

As a team we are constantly making decisions about the best path for Daniel to travel. Any serious racer knows there are many options and funds need to be spent wisely.

As 2014 ASBK champion, current leader in the Phillip Island Championship and running a close 2nd in the ASC series, we feel that we may be able to take a little time to consider other options.

Conscious of the effort required by the team and the funds needed we have decided to withdraw from the ASC series, as for our team it does not quite offer a format or utilise tracks which we feel are beneficial to Daniel or value for our racing dollars. Our commitment at the start of the year was to commence all three series, we have fulfilled this.

JD Racing is extremely proud of Daniel and his dedication, we hope our sponsors can also share in this moment, you are each an integral part of our success John Redding & Yamaha Australia for the incredible Yamaha R6 machine and your much appreciated financial support.

The invaluable support from our major partner, Caterpillar / Energy Power Systems Australia and Phil Canning, a true motorcyclist and friend.

Our major product suppliers, Berik / Shark Helmets / Dunlop / Ipone / Vesrah / DID & Mainline DynoLog Dynomometers for supplying the best products in the market.

Support comes in many ways so we would also like to thank - Ian Irving, Ken Weiden, Clint Page, Glen Kendall, Matt Dowd, Boris Mihailovic, BikeMe, Race Bike Services, our 2300 Facebook followers, our families, our local racing clubs, the media who have consistently supported Daniel and the many others who offer words of encouragement.

Reigning Australian Supersport Champion Daniel Falzon swept all three Supersport races for the Jon Daniels Racing/Caterpillar EPSA Yamaha team during Sunday’s third round of the Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship.
